123:1-10-01. Eligibility for permanent classified service

(A) When an employee is appointed under section 124.30 of the Revised Code, and successfully completes the probationary period, the employee shall become permanent in the classified service with all the rights and privileges of a certified employee.

(B) An employee who is certified in the classified service has permanent status, except that an employee appointed from an eligible list does not obtain permanent status until the employee has successfully completed their initial probationary period.
