Latest version.
  • (A) Policy statement

This policy clarifies and determines the requirements under which the institution finds a military service member in a readmit status eligibility under federal regulation 34 C.F.R. 668.18 for reduced tuition and general fee.

    (B) Purpose of policy

This policy is to provide the requirements under which a service member is eligible to receive reduced tuition and general fee cost for up to one academic year, not to exceed three consecutive terms. The cost would be based on the tuition and general fee rate at the time deployed to active duty.

The service member must return to the university (readmit) within five years of release from active duty, have not attended or earned credit while not on active duty, and be entering back into the same academic level (undergraduate, graduate, law, medical) as at the time of deployment.

    (C) Procedure

The military service center will confirm the eligible service member and year of deployment. This information will be sent to the financial aid office so the tuition and general fee reduction waiver can be applied for up to three consecutive terms.
