3769-4-29. Provision to fill vacancy

The stewards shall fill vacancies occurring in other official positions unless the permit holder shall have filled them and notified the stewards prior to the time set for the first race to leave the paddock for the starting post, and such appointments shall be subject only to the confirmation of the commission. Should any vacancy occur after the above-mentioned time, the stewards shall fill the vacancy at once, the appointment standing only for one day unless the permit holder shall not have filled the vacancy and notified the stewards one hour before the time set for the first race of the following day.
