5902-3-02. Education, diplomas and degrees high school diplomas for women who left high school during world war II, or the Korean conflict, or the Vietnam conflict

  • (A) A high school diploma may be awarded to any woman who left high school during world war II, the Korean conflict, or the Vietnam conflict, or posthumously to a living relative of a woman, who left a public or non-public school located in any state prior to graduation in order to join the workforce to support her family or to join the war effort, or who left a public or nonpublic school located in any state prior to graduation due to family circumstances and subsequently joined the workforce or war effort, and meets all of the following criteria:

    (1) The woman is a current resident of the state of Ohio, or was previously enrolled in any high school in this state, or was a resident of the state of Ohio at the time of death.

    (2) The woman left a public or nonpublic school located in any state prior to graduation in order to join the workforce to support her family or to join the war effort; or,

    (3) The woman left a public or nonpublic school located in any state prior to graduation due to family circumstances and subsequently joined the workforce or war effort; and,

    (4) The woman has not been granted a diploma as provided in section 3313.61 or 3313.612 of the Revised Code, a diploma of adult education as provided in section 3313.611 of the Revised Code or a diploma under this rule.

    (B) An application verifying all the requirements set forth in paragraph (A) of this rule shall be forwarded, upon completion, to the board of education of any city, exempted village, or local school district or governing authority of any chartered nonpublic school or county education service center in Ohio.
