Title 9 CFR has been adopted pursuant to the Federal meat inspection act (34 Stat. 1260) as amended by the Wholesome Meat Act (81 Stat. 584, 21 U.S.C. Supp., Section 601 et seq.). In working with the adopted Title 9 CFR 301 to 417(January 1, 1999) in the context of Ohio's meat inspection activity, ODA has determined that there is a need for modifying this portion of the adopted CFR text in order to add the Title 9 CFR 416.1 - 416.7 Sanitation Performance Standards, adopted on January 25, 2000 by USDA into the current Ohio regulatory atuhority.

The proposed rule will add the Sanitation Performance Standards language to the current adopted Title 9 CFR language.

Those persons directly affected by this proposed rule should not have any additional costs of compliance. There are no mandated compliance terms in the new rule since it just completes the replacement sanitation rule package that replaced the old deleted Title 9 CFR Part 308.
