    PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to sections 5101.80 and 5107.05 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the adoption, amendment, or rescission of the rule or rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-85, entitled: Cash assistance: new hire reporting program (W-4), is being proposed for rescission and adoption to incorporate "plain language," put it into question and answer format, remove references to system processing and spell out all acronyms. This rule sets forth policy for the new hire reporting program for the cash assistance programs.

     

    Rule 5101:1-3-07, entitled: Ohio works first: evidence of age, citizenship and identity, is being proposed for amendment to incorporate "plain language," put it into question and answer format, remove references to system processing and spell out all acronyms. This rule sets forth the requirement to provide evidence of age, citizenship and identity for the Ohio Works First (OWF) program.

     

    Rule 5101:1-3-09, entitled: Ohio works first: social security number requirement, is being proposed for amendment to incorporate "plain language," put it into question and answer format, remove references to system processing and spell out all acronyms. This rule sets forth the requirement to provide a social security number for the OWF program.

     

    Rule 5101:1-23-50, entitled: Ohio works first: learning, earning and parenting program, is being proposed for amendment to incorporate "plain language," put it into question and answer format, remove references to system processing and spell out all acronyms. This rule sets forth the requirements of the Learning, Earning and Parenting (LEAP) program.

     

    Rule 5101:1-24-20, entitled: Prevention retention and contingency program: excluded income and resources, is being proposed for amendment to incorporate "plain language," put it into question and answer format, remove references to system processing and spell out all acronyms. This rule sets forth the excluded income and resources of the Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) program.

     

    A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below. The rules are also available on the internet at  http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
