    LEGAL NOTICE

     

    The State Board of Education hereby announces its intent to hold a public hearing regarding the following proposed rule actions:

     

    School Age Child Care Program - Proposed amendment of Chapter 3301-32 of the Administrative Code including 3301-32-01 (Definitions); 3301-32-02 (Staff); 3301-32-03 (Staff ratios and volunteers); 3301-32-

    04 (Facilities); 3301-32-05 (Program and curriculum); 3301-32-06 (Health and safety); 3301-32-07

    (Nutrition); 3301-32-08 (Management of communicable disease); 3301-32-09 (Discipline); 3301-32-10 (Policies and procedures, recordkeeping, and administration); 3301-32-11 (Licensure); 3301-32-12 (Procedures for monitoring); and 3301-32-13 (Complaint investigation).

     

    Licensing and Education Programs - Proposed amendment of rules 3301-24-01 (Glossary/definitions); 3301-24-03 (Teacher education programs); 3301-24-04 (Entry year); 3301-24-05 (Licensure); 3301-24-06 (Professional development); 3301-24-07 (Professional license renewal); 3301-24-08 (Professional or associate license renewal).

     

    Pupil-Activity Program - Proposed rescission and adoption of new rule 3301-27-01, Qualifications to direct, supervise, or coach a pupil-activity program.

     

    Educational Aide Permits - Proposed amendment of rules 3301-25-01 (One-year educational aide permit); 3301-25-02 (Renewal of one-year educational aide permit); 3301-25-03 (One-year student monitor educational aide permit); 3301-25-04 (Renewal of one-year student monitor educational aide permit); 3301-25-05 (Four-year educational aide permit); and 3301-25-08 (Validity of educational aide permits); and adoption of new rule 3301-25-07 (Renewal of the four-year educational aide permit and four-year educational technologist aide permit).

     

    Colleges and Universities Preparing Teachers - Proposed rescission of rules 3301-21-10, Requirements of a chartered city, county, local, exempted village, or joint vocational school district to offer a program of internship supervision and evaluation; and 3301-21-11 (Procedures for the evaluation and approval of internship programs for the preparation of teachers).

     

    Certification - Proposed rescission of rules 3301-23-30, High school internship certificate; 3301-23-31, Provisional high school certificate issued subsequent to an approved internship program; and 3301-23-32, Provisional high school comprehensive certificate issued subsequent to an approved internship program.

     

    Learnfare - Proposed rescission of rule 3301-16-01, Good cause for school absence for learnfare participants.

     

    Emergency Repairs to School Facilities - Proposed rescission of rule 3301-90-01, Rule for the issuance of grants to school districts for emergency repairs to school facilities.

     

    Disability Access Projects - Proposed rescission of rule 3301-100-01, Standards for awarding grants for disability access projects.

     

    Bilingual Multicultural Instruction - Proposed rescission of rule 3301-36-01, Minimum standard for class size for bilingual multicultural instruction.

     

    County School District Plans - Proposed rescission of Chapter 3301-38 of the Administrative Code including rules 3301-38-01 (Definitions); 3301-38-02 (Program); 3301-38-03 (Facilities); 3301-38-04 (Fiscal Monitoring); 3301-38-05 (Personnel in the county office of education); 3301-38-06 (Personnel under the supervision of the county school district); 3301-38-07 (Curriculum); 3301-38-08 (Planning and Development); 3301-38-09 (Communications); 3301-38-11 (Pupil Personnel); and 3301-38-13 (County school district evaluation).

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    The hearing will be held November 15, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in the Conference Center at the Ohio School for the Deaf located at 500 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio. The hearing will proceed until all testimony is given.
