    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to Section 5107.05 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the Director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to rescind, amend and adopt the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-01, entitled The Application Process for Ohio Works First, Disability Financial Assistance, and Refugee Cash Assistance is being proposed for amendment. This rule sets forth the policy regarding the application process for cash assistance programs. The rule is being amended to incorporate the voter registration requirements.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-10, entitled Ohio Works First/Disability Financial Assistance /Refugee  Cash Assistance: the Reapplication Requirement is being proposed for amendment.  This rule sets forth the policy regarding the reapplication process for cash assistance programs. The rule is being amended to incorporate the sanction policy changes set forth in Amended Substitute House Bill 1 of the 128th General Assembly.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-15, entitled Voter Registration Requirement is being proposed to be rescinded and replaced with new rule 5101:1-2-15 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The rule is being rewritten to provide better readability.

     

    A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below. The rules are also available on the internet at (http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
