NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry will conduct a public hearing on November 18, 2003, at 9:30 AM in the Division of Forestry conference room at the Department of Natural Resources headquarters in Columbus, 1855 Fountain Square Court, Building H-1, Columbus, OH 43224.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider the adoption/rescission/amendment of Administrative Code rules concerning the recreational use of state forest lands and the administration of the Ohio Forest Tax Law.

A copy of the full text of the proposed rules or a copy of this public notice may be obtained by written request from: The Chief of the ODNR-Division of Forestry, 1855 Fountain Square Court, H-1, Columbus, OH 43224. A self-addressed envelope should accompany each request.

The full text of the proposed rules is available for review in the office of the Chief of the Division of Forestry and in the five Forestry District Offices located in Findlay, New Philadelphia, Athens, Chillicothe and Portsmouth. The rules are available via the World Wide Web at www.ohiodnr.com/forestry.

The hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, Chapter 119 of the Ohio Revised Code.  Interested persons will have the opportunity to give testimony for or against the proposed rules.
