NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., in Room G, 3rd Floor, 30 West Spring Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215, to consider the following:

 

Amendment of the following rule for the purpose as shown below:

 

4123-6-08 Bureau fee schedule.

 

The rule is being amended to update the BWC medical fee schedule and adopt the fee schedule as an appendix to this rule. The BWC medical fee schedule has not been revised since 2004. As a result, BWC Medical Services undertook a comprehensive review of the benefit plan and corresponding medical fee schedule.

 

 

Paragraph (A) of the rule is amended to change that this rule is adopted with the advice and consent of the oversight commission to the advice and consent of the bureau of workers' compensation board of directors. The rule also is amended to indicate that the fee schedule is attached as appendix A, and that it was developed with provider and employer input. The rule also states that the new fee schedule will be effective January 1, 2009.
