THE STATE MEDICAL BOARD OF OHIO, pursuant to Chapter 119, Ohio Revised Code, hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of considering the rescission, amendment, and adoption of rules.

 

 

The following rule is proposed for rescission:

 

4731-1-14        Preliminary Education Certificate

 

The following rules are proposed for rescission and adoption as new rules because they are being significantly amended:

 

4731-1-08        Continuing cosmetic therapist education

                                                Cosmetic therapy application for licensure

                                                Examination (new rule relates to massage therapy only)

4731-1-19        Probationary status for limited branch schools

 

The following rules are proposed for amendment:

 

4730-2-06        Physician assistant formulary (Appendix is rescinded and proposed as "new.")

4731-1-01        Definitions related to the limited branches of medicine 4731-1-03       General prohibitions for the limited branches of medicine 4731-1-05            Scope of practice: Massage Therapy

4731-1-07        Electrologists originally licensed by the State Board of Cosmetology

                                                Cosmetic therapy curriculum requirements

                                                Distance education for the limited branches of medicine

4731-1-13        Examination failure and additional training for cosmetic therapy

Determination of standing of limited branch school, college, or institution

                                                Massage therapy curriculum requirements

                                                Requirements for limited branch instructional staff

                                                Suspension, revocation, or denial of certificate of good standing

4731-11-09      Prescribing to persons not seen by the physician

 

The following rule is proposed to be adopted as a new rule:

 

4731-11-12      Expedited partner therapy

 

The following rules are proposed to be continued without change:

 

4731-1-04        Scope of practice: naprapathy

4731-1-06        Scope of practice: mechanotherapy

All written comments received by the Board before the close of the hearing record will be considered. Written comments may be provided at the public hearing.
