THE CHANCELLOR OF THE OHIO BOARD OF REGENTS LEGAL NOTICE

The Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents will hold a public hearing on the following rule actions November 26, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in the Boardroom at the Ohio Board of Regents, located at 30 East Broad Street, 36th Floor, Columbus, Ohio:

 

·         3333-1-14 (Rescind) - rescinds the rule that requires the public notice of meetings of the Ohio Board of Regents because after House Bill 2 of the 127th General Assembly, the Ohio Board of Regents acts only as an advisory body. It no longer has rule-making authority, and instead the statute provides that it conducts business under the standards it adopts. Therefore, the Ohio Board of Regents no longer needs a rule regarding notice of its public meetings.
