    LEGAL NOTICE

     

    The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act and Sections 1541.01, 1541.03, 1541.09 and 1541.19 of the Revised Code hereby declares intent to adopt, amend and rescind administrative rules pertaining to: areas administered as state parks; definition of terms; fees for seasonal, guest and transient docks and tie ups; fees for camping; fees for rental of group building facilities and group camps; fees for duck blinds and deer stands; fees for storage areas for watercraft, trailers and campers and dry rack storage; fees for special activity permits; restrictions on bringing animals in cabin, lodge, golf courses and camp facilities; intoxicating beverages; throwing objects off of cliffs and other facilities; collection permits for plants and animals; private channel construction; rollerblading and roller skating on the boardwalk at Maumee Bay; open and closed hours; swimming prohibited areas; flotation device prohibitions; metal detecting prohibitions; permit requirement for campgrounds; campground administration; trailer plumbing requirements; requirements for pets in campgrounds; watercraft operations and restrictions in state parks; prohibition on obstruction of launching facilities; restriction on motor vehicles and bicycles to stay on roads; hunting and trapping prohibitions in parks; duck blind permit requirements; and special management hunts in parks.

    For such purpose the Division of Parks and Recreation will conduct a public hearing on said proposals on November 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Assembly Center, 2045 Morse Road, Building E (first floor), Columbus, Ohio 43229. At the public hearing, any person affected by the rule changes may appear and be heard in person, or by an attorney, or both, and may present testimony, orally or in writing,

    offer and examine witnesses, and present evidence tending to show that the rules if adopted will be unreasonable or unlawful.

    Such rules are necessary and appropriate for proper management and control of lands and waters administered by the Division of Parks and Recreation and for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the public.
