At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, the Ohio Division of Industrial Compliance will hold a public hearing regarding the Division's intent to adopt Ohio Administrative Code 1301:3-2- 02 through 1301:3-2-09 - new plumbing inspection rules. The hearing will be held in the offices of the Division located at 6606 Tussing Road, Training Room 1, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068-9009.

The proposed rules are summarized as the following:

 

OAC 1301:3-2-02.  This proposed rule establishes the definitions to be used for this chapter number of the Ohio Administrative Code. The proposal includes the definitions for the Division of Industrial Compliance, plumbing, plumbing inspection, and superintendent.

 

The purpose for this proposed rule is to provide definitions for OAC 1301:3-2.

 

OAC 1301:3-2-03. This proposed rule establishes the requirements for applicants to examine to obtain a plumbing inspector certificate.

 

The purpose for the proposed rule is to codify the requirements for applicants to examine to obtain a plumbing inspector certification.

 

OAC 1301:3-2-04. This proposed rule explains the jurisdiction of plumbing inspectors. The purpose for this proposed rule is to clarify the jurisdiction of plumbing inspectors.

OAC 1301:3-2-05. This proposed rule establishes the duration of plumbing inspector certificates. The purpose for this proposed rule is to codify the duration of plumbing inspector certificates.

OAC 1301:3-2-06. This proposed rule establishes the procedures for renewal of plumbing inspector certificates.

 

The purpose for this proposed rule is to codify the renewal process for plumbing inspector certificates.

 

OAC 1301:3-2-07.  This proposed rule establishes the fees for plumbing inspectors under Chapter 1301:3-2 of the Administrative Code.

 

The purpose for this proposed rule is to codify the fees for plumbing inspectors.

 

OAC 1301:3-2-08. This proposed rule provides the reasons for denials, suspensions, and revocations of plumbing inspector certificates. The proposed rule establishes penalties for the substantiation of reasonable cause.

 

The purpose for this proposed rule is to codify the denial, revocation, and suspension process.

 

 

 

OAC 1301:3-2-09. This proposed rule establishes the Ohio Revised Code Chapters to be used for adjudication hearings and the process of designating a representative at these hearings.
