5101:12-50-30             Federal offset program.

 

 

 

(A)  The federal offset program includes the following:

 

(1)     Federal income tax refund program, as established by the Child Support Amendments of 1984, Pub. L. No. 98-378, 98113-183, 128 Stat. 1305 (1984)1944, 42 U.S.C. 664, August 16, 1984September 29, 2014;

 

(2)   Financial institution data match program, as established by the Child Support Performance and Incentive Act of 1998, Pub L. No. 105-200113-183, 112128 Stat. 645 (1998)1944, 42 U.S.C. 666, July 16, 1998September 29, 2014; and

 

(3)    Passport denial program, as established by the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, Pub. L. No. 104-193113-183, 110128 Stat. 2105 (1996)1943, 42 U.S.C. 652, August 22, 1996September 29, 2014.

 

(B)   The federal office of child support enforcement matches obligor data contained in the federal tax offset file submitted by Ohio to obligor data from the internal revenue service, data submitted by financial institutions participating in the financial institution data match program, and passport data maintained by the United States department of state.
