NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON OAC RULE CHAPTER 4713-5

of the OHIO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE

PURPOSE:      For public commentary on proposed Chapters 4713-5, of the Ohio Administrative Code, pursuant to Section 119.03 of The Ohio Revised Code, which allows the public to comment on rules pending before the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review.

The Board, pursuant to R.C. 4713.08, and, after extensive consultation with stakeholders and other interested parties, instituted a comment period in December, 2012 and January, 2013 to hear the public's views on these rules. The Board accepted ongoing comments on many of these rules, even up until the filing of the rules with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review.  The Board re-wrote the existing rules in these Chapters, based upon that public commentary. The rules were then reviewed by the Lt. Governor's Office of Common Sense Initiative, changes recommended, and now the Board has requested that the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review these rules.
