    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to section 206.67.12 (Temp.), 5101.02 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment of the rule as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-35.1 entitled Eligibility for Early Learning Initiative (ELI) is being proposed for amendment. This rule sets forth the eligibility requirements for the ELI program. The rule is being amended to delete language that requires both caretakers in a two-caretaker household to be participating in an OWF program activity or to be engaged in paid employment, training or education. Language has been added to allow for a child to be eligible for ELI if the child is a recipient of OWF child-only cash assistance. Language has been added to specify that the copayment for child care services must take effect when a child leaves ELI.

     

    A copy of the proposed rule is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rule at the address listed below. The rule is also available on the internet at http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
