The rule is being proposed to delete outdated language and to increase fees for peak holiday usage.

The rule establishes fees for rental of state operated cottages at Ohio State Parks. The proposed changes deletes outdated language; it eliminates a discount for the
winter; and it establishes a new fee for rental of cottages during the peak holiday periods.

The rule is being refiled to change the holiday fee for the Christmas holidays. The change will charge an additional fee for the day of and six days following Christmas day.

The proposed rule is projected to increase revnue by $56,000 in the current biennium. Revenue receipts for state parks are below original projections and the proposed increase will help with cash flow.
