    Columbus, Ohio 43223

    The Ohio Department of Public Safety, Office of Criminal Justice Services-Motorcycle Ohio, pursuant to Chapter 119, Ohio Revised Code, will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of soliciting comments regarding the adoption, amendment and recession of rules.

    The public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in room 1109, located at 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223 and continue until all parties in attendance have had an opportunity to be heard.

    The following rules are proposed for amendment to clarify and establish requirements:

    4501-53-01     Definitions.

    4501-53-03      Instructor qualifications for certification to teach. 4501-53-04            Instructor professional standards.

                                                     Renewal of certification to teach.

                                                     Private provider qualifications for certification of approval. 4501-53-07 Public provider qualifications for certification of approval. 4501-53-08     Provider inspections.

    4501-53-09      Renewal of private provider certification of approval. 4501-53-10       Administrative actions.

    4501-53-11      Provider professional standards. 4501-53-12     Basic riding skills two.

                                                     Private provider insurance.

                                                     Basic riding skills for returning rider. 4501-53-15 Advanced riding skills.

    The following rule is proposed to be rescinded and adopted as a new rule:

    4501-53-02     Basic riding skills.

    The following rule is a new proposed rule:

    4501-53-16     Materials incorporated by reference.

    Persons affected by the proposed rules may appear at the hearing and be heard in person, or by an attorney, or both, or may present their position, argument, or contention in writing.  Persons may

    offer and examine witnesses and present evidence to show that the proposed rules will be unreasonable or unlawful if enacted.
