This rule establishes Wild turkey hunting regulations. Changes are required concern ing youth licenses and hunting dates.

Add language allowing those lawfully hunting with a youth hunting license to participate in all youth hunts/seasons for the entire license season regardless if over
the age of eighteen years.
Changes were made to correct the hunting season dates for the upcoming fall 2010
- spring 2011 calendar year. No changes were made to time, species, bag limits, or methods
Youth turkey season will be April 16, 2011 and April 17, 2011. Spring Turkey Season will be April 18, 2011 through May 15, 2011. Hours will be one half hour before sunrise until noon from April 18, 2011 through May 1, 2011. Hours will be extended until sunset from May 2, 2011 through May 15, 2011.

The rule was amend e to accommodate for electronic game check. The division of wildlife will be transitioning to mandatory checking of deer and turkey killed via internet and telephone starting September 1, 2010. Currently deer or turkey must be checked in person at a division authorized game check facility.
