    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to section 5104.011 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment of the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-04 entitled "Issuance and Renewal of Professional Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements regarding the initial and renewal certification process. The changes to the rule include updating revision dates for forms and clarifying the requirement to obtain a provider agreement through the provider portal as part of the certification process.

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-06 entitled "Denial, Revocation and Withdrawal of Professional Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for issuing and renewing a professional certification for a type B home provider or in-home aide. The changes to the rule include updating revision dates for forms and clarifying the requirement to obtain a provider agreement through the provider portal as part of the certification process.

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-19 entitled "Safe and Sanitary Equipment and Environment for Professional Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for providing a safe and sanitary environment for professional certification as a type B provider or in-home aide. The changes to the rule include updating the revision date of a form and clarifying rule requirements.

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-24 entitled "Caretaker/Provider Responsibilities for Professional Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements outlining the caretaker/provider responsibilities in regards to professional certification of type B providers and in-home aides. The changes to the rule include updating the revision dates of forms.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-32 entitled "Meal Preparation/Nutritional Requirements for Professional Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements regarding meal preparation and nutritional requirements for professional type B certified providers and in-home aides. The changes to the rule include the revision date of a form.

    Rule 5101:2-14-55 entitled "Application, and Approval and Renewal for Limited Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements regarding application, approval and renewal for limited certification as a type B home provider or in-home aide. The changes to the rule include the revision date of a form.

    Rule 5101:2-14-56 entitled "Issuance and Renewal of A Certificate for Limited Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for the issuance and renewal of a limited certificate as a type B home provider or in-home aide. The changes to the rule include updating revision dates for forms and clarifying the requirement to obtain a provider agreement through the provider portal as part of the certification process.

    Rule 5101:2-14-57 entitled "Limited Certification Compliance Inspection of a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for certification compliance inspections conducted for limited type B home providers and in-home aides. The changes to the rule include updating revision dates for forms and clarifying the requirement to obtain a provider agreement through the provider portal as part of the certification process.

    Rule 5101:2-14-58 entitled "Provider Qualifications and Responsibilities for Limited Certification as a Type B Home Provider or In-Home Aide" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for provider qualifications and responsibilities for a limited type B home provider or in-home aide. The changes to the rule include the revision dates of forms and setting a deadline for providers to receive their pertussis vaccine.

    Rule 5101:2-14-61 entitled "County Department of Job and Family Services Certification Responsibilities for Certified Type B Providers and In-Home Aides" has been amended to implement the requirements of the provider agreement for certified type B providers and in-home aides. This rule sets forth the requirements for the County Department of Job and Family Services certification staff in regards to their responsibilities to type B providers and in-home aides. The changes to the rule include the revision dates of forms, and clarification of the CDJFS training requirements.

    A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below.  The rules are also available on the internet at http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice.  Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
