Public Notice

 

The Department of Agriculture, State of Ohio, will hold a public hearing for the purpose of accepting testimony on the proposed rescission of fifteen rules: 901:5-11-02 through 901:5-11-08 and 901:5-11-11 through 901:5-11-18, the amendment of two rules: 901:5-11-01 and 901:5-11-09, and the adoption of eleven new rules: 901:5-11-02 through 901:5-11-08 and 901:5-11-10 through 901:5-11-13.

 

These rules relate to the licensing and registration procedures, recordkeeping requirements and operational and safety standards for pesticide businesses, applicators, dealers, and registrants.

These rules are being rescinded, amended and adopted as a result of recent legislation, specifically Senate Bill 217, 124th session, which amended Chapter 921 of the Revised Code.

 

The hearing will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at 9:00 a.m., in Room 129 (Training Room 'A') Bromfield Administration Building, Ohio Department of Agriculture, 8995 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068-3399. The hearing will conclude at 11:00 a.m.

 

The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. Any person affected by the proposed rescission (adoption, amendment) of the existing rules or  adoption of the new rules may appear and be heard in person, by his attorney, or both, may present his position, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing, offer and examine witnesses, and present evidence tending to show that the proposed rule changes, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable or unlawful.
