PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

 

ODRC will conduct a public hearing to obtain comments concerning ODRC's proposed amendments to the following administrative rules as required by section 119.03 of the Revised Code:

 

·         5120:1-1-08    Full board hearings

·         5120:1-1-11    Procedure of release consideration hearing

·         5120:1-1-14    Victim Conference

·         5120:1-1-15    Pardon, reprieve, and commutation of sentence

·         5120:1-1-36    Parole board records

·         5120:1-1-41    Standards for imposing, modifying and reducing post-release control

·         5120:1-1-70    Termination  of  the  parole  board's  control  over  sexually  violent predators

 

The proposed amendments to the rules implements changes made necessary by Senate Bill 160 (129th General Assembly), which requires ODRC to notify the victim/victim representative, prosecutor, and court prior to taking certain actions, such as initiating parole release consideration hearings, or placing an offender on transitional control.

 

ODRC will conduct the hearing on April 11, 2013 in the Parole Board Hearing Room at the Department's offices at 770 West Broad Street, Columbus Ohio 43222. The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until all parties in attendance at that time have had an opportunity to provide comment.
