    Notice of Public Hearing

    Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services

     

    Pursuant to Section 119.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, notices herebygiven that the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services intends to conduct a public hearing.

     

    The following rules are being proposed for revision:

    OAC 3793:2-1-05 Clinical Management  OAC  3793:2-5-01 Residential Treatment Prog Cert OAC  3793:2-1-06 Client Records                 OAC  3793: 4-1-02 DIP Program Requirements

     

    OAC 3793:2-1-03 identifies the program administration requirements that a program must meet in order to be certified or licensed by the Department. The Department is amending this rule to implement changes in HB 496 to identify functions performed by professionals licensed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDPB) and to make minor changes for rule clarity..

     

    OAC 3793:2-1-05 identifies the minimal clinical management requirements that a programmust meet in order to be certified by the Department. The Department is amending this rule to implement changes in HB 496 to identify functions performed by professionals licensed by the OCDPB and to make minor changes for rule clarity.

     

    OAC 3793:2-1-06 identifies the minimal client records requirements for certification/licensure by the Department as an alcohol and drug addiction treatment program. The Department is amending this rule to implement changes in HB 496 to identify functions performed by professionals licensed by the OCDPB and to make minor changes for rule clarity.

     

    OAC 3793:2-1-08 defines alcohol and drug addiction treatment services and identifywho can deliver and supervise treatment services. The Department is amending this rule to implement changes in HB

    496 to identify functions performed by professionals licensed by the OCDPB, to include responsibilities as amended by the Nursing Board and the Counselor and Social Worker Board, and to make minor changes for rule clarity.

     

    OAC 3793:2-5-01 states the minimum requirements for a program to be certified by the Department as an alcohol and drug addiction services residential program. The Department is amending this rule to clarify that certified halfway house treatment providers can have individual and/or group counseling services provided by a certified program site.

     

    OAC 3793:4-1-02 requires that a program must be certified by the Department as a driver intervention program. The Department is amending this rule to implement changes in HB 496 to identify functions performed by professionals licensed by the OCDPB and to make minor changes for rule clarity.
