OHIO LOTTERY COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON

THE RESCISSION OF AN EXISTING ADMINISTRATIVE RULE AND THE AMENDMENT OF EXISTING OHIO LOTTERY ADMINISTRATIVE RULES

 

Notice is hereby given that the Ohio Lottery Commission intends to rescind one (1) Administrative Rule and amend fourteen (14) Administrative Rules in Proposed Form. A public hearing will be conducted on April 20, 2007, at the Frank J. Lausche Building, 615 W. Superior Avenue, 4th floor, Cleveland, Ohio 44113, at 9:00

A.M. in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, (Chapter 119, Ohio Revised Code). Any person affected by the proposed action may appear and be heard at the hearing in accordance with Section 119.03(C), Ohio Revised Code.

The Rule to be considered for rescission is existing Administrative Rule 3770:1-5-02. The amended Administrative Rules to be considered for adoption are: 3770:1-5-03; 3770:1-5-04; 3770:1-5-05; 3770:1-5-07;

3770:1-5-08; 3770:1-5-09; 3770:1-5-10; 3770:1-6-02; 3770:1-6-05; 3770:1-6-06; 3770:1-6-07; 3770:1-8-01; 3770:1-

 

8-02; and 3770:1-9-250. The proposed rescission of one Rule and adoption of amended Rules pertain to the operations of the Ohio Lottery Commission and its staff, prize claiming process and drawings and the Mega Millions® Game Rule. These rules have been reviewed by the Ohio Lottery Commission pursuant to Chapter 119 of the Ohio Revised Code mandatory five (5) year review. The purpose of the rescission and amended rules is to update Lottery terminologies, procedures and practices and eliminate redundancy between provisions of the Administrative Rules with other Rules and the Ohio Revised Code.
