    PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to sections 2151.412 and 2151.421, and Chapter 119. of the Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment of the rule as identified below and of a public hearing thereon. This rule is being amended as a result of the five year review process and to include federal requirements of the "Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act."

     

    OAC 5101:2-39-01 Removal of a child from his or her own home sets forth the PCSA and PCPA requirements if a determination is made that a child cannot be safely maintained in his or her own home. This rule is being amended to include notification to all parents of a sibling of the child where such parent has legal custody of such sibling.

     

    Copies of the proposed rules are available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below. The rules are also available on the internet at  http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
