This rule defines deer hunting seasons, methods and limits. Amendments were made to adjust for next years hunting seasons.

Implement a one deer bag limit in the early muzzleloader season on three special areas. This is a fix in the rule.

Removed the one deer bag limit for youth deer season, to allow the current zone limits to apply for these two days. This clarifies the bag limit to be consistent with the rest of the season and allows greater opportunity for young hunters.

Inserted language that holds the adults responsible if a youth hunter aged 15 or younger is hunting unaccompanied. Under current regulations, if the adult tells the youth hunter to hunt and then leaves the youth alone, only the youth can be held responsible.

Deer bag limits will now be set for each zone, and are not accumulative. Zone A will have a two deer bag limit for the early part of the archery season,

ending the day before gun season begins. One antlerless deer permit may be used in

zone A during this early portion of the season. Beginning on opening day of gun season and continuing through the end of the season, the bag limit will then be one deer. Antlerless deer permits may not be used in zone A during this late portion of the season.

Zone B will have a four deer bag limit for the early part of the archery season, ending the day before gun season begins. Two antlerless deer permits may be used in zone B during this early portion of the season. Beginning on opening day of gun season and continuing through the end of the season, the bag limit will then be two deer. Antlerless permits may not be used in zone B during this late portion of the season.

Zone C will have a six deer bag limit for the early part of the archery season, ending the last day of the one full week of gun season. Three antlerless deer permits may be used in zone C during this early portion of the season. Beginning on first day after gun season and continuing through the end of the season, the bag limit will then be three deer. Antlerless deer permits may not be used in zone C during this late portion of the season.

Urban deer zones and division of wildlife controlled hunts will have a bag limit of six deer. This limit will not count toward the zone limits. Antlerless deer permits may be used for the entire season in urban deer zones or division of wildlife controlled hunts.
