    PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES DATE: May 16, 2005

    TIME: 10:00 a.m.

    LOCATION: Room 1845, Rhodes State Office Tower 30 East Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43215

     

     

    Pursuant to section 5104. and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment, adoption and rescission of the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:2-14-01 entitled De finitions for Certification of Type B Providers is being proposed for amendment.  This rule sets forth definitions that are used in chapter 5101:2- 14 of the Administrative Code.  The rule is being amended to change the title and to clarify existing policy language.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-01 entitled Definitions for Eligibility for Publicly Funded Child Care Benefits is being proposed for amendment.  This rule sets forth definitions that are used in 5101:2-16 of the Administrative Code.  The rule is being amended to change the title, to clarify existing policy language and to add two new definitions.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-41 entitled Reimbursement Ceilings for Child Care Providers is being proposed for rescission due to the adoption of a replacement rule as described belo w.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-41 entitled Reimbursement Rates for Providers of Publicly Funded Child Care is being proposed as a new rule.  This rule sets forth  new reimbursement rates, requires only full-week, part-week or hourly payments to providers and clarifies existing policy.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-30 entitled Publicly Funded Child Care Program Requirements is being proposed for rescission due to the adoption of a replacement rule as described below.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-30 entitled Program Eligibility Requirements for Publicly Funded Child Care Benefits is being proposed for adoption. This rule sets forth the family eligibility requirements for child care. The rule is being adopted to change the title, to reformat content, to clarify existing policy language and to add appendix material that displays income eligibility standards.

     

    Rule 5101:2-16-39 entitled Monthly Family Copayment for Publicly Funded Child Care Benefits is being proposed for amendment. This rule sets forth the eligibility requirement of a family copayment to the provider for child care benefits. The rule is being amended to clarify existing language and to update Appendix A, the Monthly Child Care Family Copayment Table, to reflect changes in the calculation of some copayments.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below.  The rules are also available on the internet at http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing.  Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
