To insure that the standards for reporting incidents at freestanding radiation therapy centers are the same as those for health care services.

then summarize the content of the rule:
Rule prescribes radiation safety standards for freestanding radiation therapy centers. Added new paragraphs (D)(1), (D)(2), (D)(3), (D)(4), and (E) to prescribe what kinds of incidents must be reported, the procedure for reporting the incidents, and to whom the incidents must be reported.

The cost of compliance will vary from facility to facility. If the facility has no incidents, there will be no costs. If the facility has an incident, there may be cost that the facility incurs to correct the problem identified in the incident. For many incidents, the cost of compliance will be less than $100 since it will be limited to the development of a letter; and if there are any necessary modifications in procedure or protocol.
