    PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 5107.05, AMENDED SENATE BILL 170, AND CHAPTER 119. OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE, THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES GIVES NOTICE OF THE DEPARTMENT'S INTENT TO PROPOSE AND AMEND RULES PERTAINING TO ELIGIBILITY FOR CERTAIN OHIO WORKS FIRST AND PREVENTION, RETENTION AND CONTINGENCY COMPONENTS ON A PERMANENT BASIS AND OF A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON.

    The following rule is being proposed for amendment:

    Rule 5101:1-23-20, entitled "OWF: Income and Eligibility", is being amended to add language regarding the exclusion of child support reimbursement payments made in accordance with the provisions of Amended Substitute Senate Bill 170 in the determination of OWF eligibility.

    The following rule is being proposed for adoption:

    Rule 5101:1-24-20, entitled "Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) Program: Excluded Income and Resources", is being proposed for adoption to provide for the exclusion of child support reimbursement payments made in accordance with the provisions of Amended Substitute Senate Bill 170 as income and resources in the PRC program.

A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held on May 21, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. until all testimony is heard in Room 1814, Rhodes Office Tower, 30 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Either written or verbal testimony on this rule will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than May 21, 2002 will be treated as testimony.
