NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services will conduct a public hearing on Monday, May 23, 2016, at 2:00pm in Room 1932 on the 19th floor of the Riffe Center, 77 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the adoption, amendment, or rescission of Administrative Code rules concerning employment and training standards for hiring county veterans service officers and commissioners.

 

The proposed rules include but are not limited to: the amendment of training and education standards for county veterans service commissioners and county  veterans service officers; the amendment of criteria and minimum employment qualifications for hiring county veterans service officers and to allow hiring preference to disabled veterans.

 

Paper copies of the proposed rules may be requested without charge by any person affected by the rules by mail to the ODVS Rule Administrator, 77 South High Street, Floor 7, Columbus, Ohio 43215, or by phone to the Rule Administrator at 614-644-0898. The rules are also available on the internet at htto://www .registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A pu blic hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed above. Both written and oral testimony will be taken at the hearing.
