  • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    On Wednesday, May 8, 2002, The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing and the Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to four administrative rules. The hearing will be held at 10:15 a.m. in the 20th floor hearing room at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts and Government, located at 77 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215-6133.

    PROPOSED RULE CHANGES RULE 1301:11-1-12 OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS

    The Board and the Division propose to amend Rule 1301:11-1-12 to correct the Division's zip code.

    RULE 1301:11-3-03 PRE-CERTIFICATION/PRE-LICENSURE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    The Board and the Division propose to amend rule 1301:11-3-03 to implement federal changes to appraiser pre-licensure educational requirements. The changes require that the pre-licensure classroom instruction in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice must be in the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice course and taught by an Appraisal Qualifications Board certified instructor.

    RULE 1301:11-7-01 CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

    The Board and the Division propose to amend Rule 1301:11-7-01 to implement federal changes to the appraiser continuing education requirements. The changes require, beginning January 1, 2003 for each two year reporting cycle, seven classroom hours of the required continuing education to include the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice update course.

    RULE 1301:11-7-02 CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE APPROVALS

    The Board and the Division propose to amend Rule 1301:11-7-02 to implement federal changes to the appraiser continuing education requirements. The changes require course approval of the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice course only when an Appraisal Qualification Board certified instructor teaches the course.
