OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

Pursuant to sections 5107.05, 5107.76 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the Director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to amend, rescind and adopt the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon due to five year review.

 

Rule 5101:1-23-40, entitled Ohio Works First: Payments. This rule sets forth the policy for determining the Ohio works first payment to an assistance group as well as the delivery of the payment. This rule is being rescinded and rewritten as more than 50 percent of the original language has been stricken and replaced. This rule has also been put in question-and-answer format to improve clarity. This rule is restoring language regarding assistance groups that are eligible for less than ten dollars.

 

Rule 5101:1-23-70, entitled Ohio Works First: Erroneous Payments. This rule describes erroneous payments for the Ohio works first program. This rule is being amended to strike language in paragraph (K)(2) in order to align with Ohio Administrative Code rule 5101:1-3-12.

 

A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
