    This rule is being proposed for amendment to update and clarify policy relating to the administration of the Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) program.

    This rule sets forth the requirements for programs participating in Step Up To Quality (SUTQ), Ohio's tiered quality rating and improvement system, to manage star ratings as required by ORC 5104.29. The rule is being amended to remove the requirement for programs to notify the department for changes in the lead teacher, adds registration requirements and updates to the criteria for renewals, removals and reductions, and includes programs licensed by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
