    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to Sections 5101.02, 5107.05, 5101.49, 5115.05 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the Director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to rescind, amend and adopt the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-30, entitled Citizenship: Ohio works first and disability financial  assistance. This rule is being proposed for rescission and replaced by new rule 5101:1-2- 30 in accordance with the five-year rule review, and because more than fifty percent of this rule is being stricken and a comparable amount of new text is being added. This rule sets forth the policy for determining citizenship for the Ohio works first and disability financial assistance programs.

     

    Rule 5101:1-3-02, entitled Ohio works first: school attendance. This rule is being proposed for rescission and replaced by new rule 5101:1-3-02 in accordance with the five-year rule review, and because more than fifty percent of this rule is being stricken and a comparable amount of new text is being added. This rule sets forth the policy for the Ohio works first school attendance requirement.

     

    Rule 5101:1-3-03, entitled Ohio works first: residence and living arrangement Requirement. This rule is being proposed for rescission and replaced by new rule 5101:1-3-03 in accordance with the five-year rule review, and because more than fifty

    percent of this rule is being stricken and a comparable amount of new text is being added. This rule sets forth the policy for determining the residence and living arrangement requirement for the Ohio works first program.

     

    Rule 5101:1-2-60, entitled Repatriate program. This rule is being proposed for amendment as a result of recent clarification. We have removed the initial resettlement payment of $560.00 and replaced it with Ohio's temporary assistance for needy families payment standard. This rule sets forth the policy regarding the repatriate program.

     

    A copy of the proposed rules is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rules at the address listed below. The rules are also available on the internet at  http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
