    The Ohio Department of Agriculture, State of Ohio, will  hold a public hearing to accept testimony on the following proposed changes to the Ohio Administrative Code: rescission of rule 901-15-05 - Services Performed by the Division of Animal Industry, adoption of proposed new rule 901-15-05 - Services Performed by the Division of Animal Industry; and, amendment of rule 901:1-17-12 - Nondomestic Animals. Rule 901-15-05 lists the types of services offered by the Division's animal diagnostic laboratory and the fees charged.

    This rule is being proposed for rescission/adoption due to extensive changes in the services offered and the fees charged. Rule 901:1-17-12 lists the requirements for importation of non domestic animals into Ohio. The amendment to the rule will establish import requirements which will help ensure that cervidae imported into Ohio are free of chronic wasting disease. The hearing will be held on Monday, June 10, 2002, at 8:30 a.m., Hearing Room 133 (Seminar Room B), Bromfield Administration Building, Ohio Department of Agriculture, 8995 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068-3399.

    The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. Any person affected by the proposed amendments to the rules may appear and be heard in person, by his attorney, or both, may present his position, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing, offer and examine witnesses, and present evidence tending to show that the proposed changes to the rules, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable       or unlawful.
