NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OHIO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY

Pursuant to an R.C. 119.032 administrative rule review, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, division of Bureau of Motor Vehicles, will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of soliciting comment on the following proposed changes to Chapter 4501-27, "License Plates," of the Ohio Administrative Code:

 

Amendments

 

4501-27-01 (License plate specifications) - Citations, dates of applicable versions, and contact information for the materials incorporated in this rule have been updated; 4501-27-02 (License plate service life specifications) - R.C. 4503.191 has been added to this rule to update its authorization and amplification statutes; 4501-27-07 (Specifications for validation stickers) -

R.C. 4503.22 has been added to this rule to update its authorization and amplification statutes; and 4501-27-08 (Specifications for all-purpose vehicle decal) - R.C. 4519.04 has replaced R.C.

4503.22 in this rule to more accurately reflect its amplification statute. Rescission

4501-27-12 (Compliance with environmental standards) - This rule is proposed for rescission as its language is being added to the Department's manufacturer invitation to bid where it can be more effectively addressed.

 

Any persons affected by the proposed amendments or rescission of these rules may appear at the hearing and be heard in person, or by an attorney, or both, or may present their position, argument, or contention in writing. Persons may offer and examine witnesses and present evidence to show that the proposed changes will be unreasonable or unlawful.
