    OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES

    Pursuant to sections 5107.05 and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC), the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services gives notice of the department's intent to consider the adoption, amendment, or rescission of the rule or rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5101:1-1-03, entitled: Disclosure of recipient information, nondiscrimination, and treatment of information received from the internal revenue service and social security administration, is being proposed for amendment as a five-year rule review in accordance with section 119.032 of the ORC. The phrase "county department of job and family services" has been revised to "county agency" throughout the rule to align with Food Assistance policy. Also, language has been added to include the allowable exchange of information between law enforcement and the county agency as set forth in section

    5101.28 of the ORC and 42 U.S.C. §608. This rule sets forth policy for the Ohio Works First program on disclosure of recipient information, nondiscrimination, and treatment of information received from the Internal Revenue Service and the Social Security Administration.

     

    A copy of the proposed rule is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rule at the address listed below. The rule is also available on the internet at  http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
