3332-1-10 Tuition and fees.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Pursuant to Chapter 119 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio State Board of Proprietary School Registration will conduct a Public Rules Hearing on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the offices of the State Board of Proprietary School Registration at 35 East Gay Street, Suite 403, Columbus, Ohio, 43215.

The following administrative rules will be considered for rescinding and adoption of new rules:  3332-1-02 Definition of terms; 3332-1-042 Change of school name; 3332-1-

10.1 Treatment and mandatory purchase of books and supplies; 3332-12.1 Surveying/canvassing; 3332-1-17.2 The ethical code of conduct for agents; 3332-1-19 The student tuition recovery fund; 3332-1-26 Off campus learning centers. The following rules are being considered for amendment: 3332-1-10 Tuition and fees; 3332-1-11 Scholarships; 3332-1-16 Program standards.

Rule 3332-1-02 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that incorporates several additions and deletions to the terms defined. Rule 3332-04.2 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form to address school names generally including a statement about the use of the word "college" in a school name. Rule 3332-1-10 is being amended to establish procedures for the collection and disbursement of financial aid funds. Rule 3332-10.1 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that incorporates clarifications to the old rule. Rule 3332-1-11 is being amended to add a new subsection to the rule addressing institutional grants. Rule 3332-1-12.1 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that incorporates clarifications to the old rule. Rule 3332-1-16 is being amended to change the requirements for schools that are seeking to offer associate degrees. Rule 3332-1-17.2 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that incorporates clarifications to the old rule. Rule 3332-1-19 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that deletes several sections of the old rule that are contained in the Ohio Revised Code. Rule 3332-1- 26 is being rescinded and adopted in a new form that incorporates clarifications to the old rule.

The purpose of this hearing is to permit public comment on the rules amended, adopted, and/or rescinded pursuant to R.C. Chapter 119. Testimony should focus on the rules as they are proposed. In lieu of appearing at the hearing, witnesses may also submit written testimony prior to the start of the hearing for inclusion into the record. For more information
