    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    Notice is hereby given that the Board of Building Standards will convene for a public hearing in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code, at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, 2004, in Hearing Room #1, at 6606 Tussing Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The purpose of the hearing is to consider rules of the Administrative Code identified as Amendments Group LXVIII, proposed pursuant to Chapters 119, 3781, 3791, 4104, and 4105 of the Revised Code.

    Synopsis of the proposed rules: PART A

    Consider  the  proposed  amendment  of  rule  4101:2-98-01  (Authorization  of  Industrialized  Unit

    Manufacturers) of the Administrative Code to add or delete approved industrialized unit manufacturers authorized to manufacture approved units for placement in Ohio and to reflect corrective changes to the listing.

    PART B

    Consider the proposed rescission of rule 4101:2-78-21 Certification of the Board of Building Appeals for the city of Kent, Ohio.

    PART C

    Consider the following new, rescinded and amended rules of the Administrative Code certifying building departments to enforce the Ohio Building, Mechanical, and Plumbing Codes: 4101:2-70-16 the  city  of Broadview Heights, Ohio; 4101:2-72-38 the village of Harrison, Hamilton county, Ohio; 4101:2-73-58 the city of Fostoria, Ohio; 4101:2-76-63 the village of Beaver, Pike county, Ohio; 4101:2-76-64 the city of Harrison, Hamilton county, Ohio; 4101:2-76-65 the village of Junction City, Ohio; 4101:2-76-66 the village of Sardinia, Brown county, Ohio; 4101:2-76-67 the village of Senecaville, Ohio; 4101:2-76-68 Violet township, Fairfield county, Ohio; 4101:2-76-69 the city of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; 4101:2-76-70 Tuscarawas county, Ohio.

    PART D

    Consider the proposed rescission of the following rule of the Administrative Code certifying building departments to enforce the Ohio Building, Mechanical, and Plumbing Codes: 4101:2-71-25 the city of Westlake, Ohio.

    PART E

    Consider proposed new, amended, and rescinded rules contained in Chapters 4101:1-1 to 4101:1-35 of the Administrative Code to update the current Ohio Building Code to reflect the 2003 edition of the "International Building Code" in accordance with proposed rule 4101:1-1-01 of the Administrative Code.

    PART F

    Consider proposed new, amended, and rescinded rules contained in Chapters 4101:2-1 to 4101:2-15 of the Administrative Code to update the current Ohio Mechanical Code to reflect the 2003 edition of the "International Mechanical Code" in accordance with proposed rule 4101:2-1-01.1 of the Administrative Code.

    PART G

    Consider proposed new, amended, and rescinded rules contained in Chapters 4101:3-1 to 4101:3-13 of the Administrative Code to update the current Ohio Plumbing Code to reflect the 2003 edition of the "International Plumbing Code" in accordance with proposed rule 4101:3-1-01.1 of the Administrative Code.

    PART H

    Consider the following amended rule of the Administrative Code contained in the Ohio Boiler Code: 4101:4-5-01 to update referenced standards.

    PART I

    Consider the following amended rule of the Administrative Code contained in the Ohio Elevator Code: 4101:5-3-01 to update referenced standards.

    Information and copies of the public hearing draft may be obtained from the Board of Building Standards at PO Box 4009, 6606 Tussing Rd., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. Copies of the draft will be mailed upon request to the Board. Requested copies will be mailed when a pre-addressed, stamped envelope is furnished to the Board's office. Envelopes shall be 10 x 13 with first class postage of $4.75 each.

    The full text of the proposed rules are filed electronically with the Secretary of State, the Legislative Service Commission, the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review, the Department of Aging, the Small and Developing Business Division as required in sections 119.03 and 121.24 of the Revised Code. Additionally, the Clerks of the 88 County Commissioners are notified of the filings as required by statute.
