This filing is based on a R.C. 119.032 rule review of OAC chapter 4501-7. Changes are for clarification and to reflect updating of procedures such as online issuance of certificates of completion.

This rule defines terms used in OAC Chapter 4501-7. Changes include expanding

application of the definition of the term "applicant" to include application to the term "candidate", expanding application of the definition of the term "beginning driver" to include application to the term "beginning student", expanding application of the definition of the terms "enterprise" or driver training enterprise" to include application to the term "business enterprise", providing definitions for the terms "class 'D' license school" and commercial driver license school", providing further clarification of the terms "driver training school, and "range" or "driving range", clarifying that "original school application" or "original instructor or training manager application" includes the application and all required supporting documents, further clarifying the definition of "training manager" or "manager" to include duties of assessing and supervising current and candidate instructors, providing a definition for the term "route sheet", providing that "certificate of completion" means an online certificate, including a definition of "class "D" operators" currently located in rule 4501-7-05, and adding and removing reference language to comply with LSC rule drafting requirements.
