Pursuant to section 119.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Superintendent of Insurance, State of Ohio, will hold a public hearing at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Ohio Department of Insurance, Public Hearing Room, 50 West Town Street, 3rd Floor, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio, to consider the amendment of Ohio Administrative Code section 3901-1-48 "Ohio mine subsidence insurance underwriting association" and "mine subsidence insurance fund" plan of operation.

 

The purpose of this rule is to implement sections 3929.50 to 3929.53 and 3929.55 to

3929.56 and 3929.58 to 3929.61 of the Revised Code which: (1) Establishes the "Ohio Mine Subsidence Underwriting Association," (2) Provides for the transfer of risk from member insurers to the association, and (3) Creates the "Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund."

 

The purpose for amending this rule is to add public meeting notice information to comply with Revised Code requirement.
