The proposed rule establishes requirements for wearing and disposal of gloves and other protective garments and devices, as mandated by Section 4731.051, ORC.

The rule requires that all licensees who perform or participate in invasive
procedures to use appropriate barrier precautions by wearing disposable gloves, washing hands at specified junctures, wearing masks and protective eyewear, and wearing appropriate gowns or aprons.
