This rule establishes the bag limits, designated seasons, areas, hours and acceptable methods of taking migratory game birds.

The US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) has the highest authority regarding migratory game bird hunting regulations. Each year the USFWS must give final approval to each state's migratory game bird seasons and regulations.

These rules fall within the established USFWS federal framework released August 2007.

Changes were made to correct the migratory bird hunting season dates for the upcoming 2007-2008 calendar year as prescribed within the USFWS federal framwork released August 2007.
