    RULE SUMMARY

    This rule is being proposed to implement a pilot program to incorporate on-line driver education.

    This rule sets forth the requirements for driver training schools to provide training agreements. The proposed amendments establish the requirements for on-line

    driver education providers.

    121.71 to 121.74 of the Revised Code because the text or other material is generally available to persons who reasonably can be expected to be affected by the rule, provide an explanation of how the text or other material is generally available to those persons:

    R.C. 121.75(E) exempts texts and other materials that are generally available to the persons who reasonably can be expected to be affected by the rule from the provisions of R.C. 121.71 to 121.74, so long as the material consists of a citation that will be intelligible to the persons who reasonably can be expected to be affected by the rule, identifies the particular edition or version of the material, and explains in the rule how persons can obtain or view the material. This rule references the "Ohio Driver Training Curriculum." The rule explains that the material is available through Ohio Department of Public Safety, as well as the State Library of Ohio. The material will also be deposited at the 5 depository libraries designated by the State Library Board.

    It is infeasible to file the text electronically as it is voluminous; however, the "Ohio Driver Training Curriculum" will be filed with JCARR in person.
