    LEGAL NOTICE

     

    STATE OF OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

     

    NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND AND HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON DIVISION OF PARKS AND WATERCRAFT RULES

     

     

    The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, in accordance with section 1546.04 of the Ohio Revised Code, hereby gives notice of intention to amend the following rules:

    1501:41-2-08 Vessel mooring fees. 1501:41-2-11  Camping fees.

    1501:41-2-14 Group camping area and facility rental fees. 1501:41-2-16 Cabin rental fees.

    1501:41-2-18 Hocking Hills pool fee. (new tagline) 1501:41-2-19 Malabar farm tour fees. (new tagline)

    1501:41-2-28 Storage areas for watercraft, trailers, and campers. 1501:41-2-32  Campground visitor and vehicle passes.

    1501:41-2-34  Getaway rental fees.

     

    and to rescind the following rule: 1501:41-2-22  Boat camping fees.

     

    Administrative rules 1501:41-2-08, 1501:41-2-11, 1501:41-2-14, 1501:41-2-16, 1501:41-2-18, 1501:41-2-19,

    1501:41-2-28, 1501:41-2-32, and 1501:41-2-34 are being amended to revise the rental fees for various state park facilities. The proposed amendments will establish a set of maximum fees that may be charged based upon the type of facility being rented. The chief of the division will then set the fees taking into consideration the location, type of facility, maximum occupancy, available amenities, and other relevant factors.

     

    Administrative rule 1501:41-2-22 is being rescinded because fees are no longer collected by the state and the rule is not needed.

     

    A public hearing on the proposed amendments and adoption of these rules will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 5th 2016 in the Assembly Center at the Department of Natural Resources located at 2045 Morse Road in Columbus, Ohio. At the public hearing, any person affected by these rule proposals may appear and be heard in person, or by an attorney, or both, and may present testimony, orally or in writing, and present evidence tending to show that these rules, if adopted, amended, or rescinded, will be unreasonable or unlawful.
