    PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAID

    Pursuant to section 5164.02, and Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code, the director of the Ohio Department of Medicaid gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment  of a rule  as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5160-48-01, entitled Medicaid coverage of targeted case management services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities. This rule specifies the conditions for Medicaid payment of Targeted Case Management (TCM), which is comprised of those activities described in section 5126.15 of the Revised Code and in rule 5123:2-1-11 of the Administrative Code, but only to the extent as listed in paragraph (D) in rule 5160-48-01 as reimbursable activities for Medicaid eligible individuals with developmental disabilities.

     

    The Department is amending the rule to include employment-related services as a billable activity under TCM and to increase the rate for providing the service. The inclusion of employment-related activities will assist individuals served by the County Boards of Developmental Disbilities seeking community employment.

     

    A copy of the proposed rule is available, without charge, to any person affected by the rule at the address listed below. The rule is also available on the internet at  http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/. A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Both written and oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
