3772-11-14. [Effective 1/1/2021] Exchange of value chips or non-value chips

(A) Chips shall only be issued to a patron and only at the request of that patron.
(B) Chips shall only be issued at cashiers' cages, live table games, and any other location approved by the executive director.
(C) Chips shall only be redeemed at cashiers' cages and any other location approved by the executive director.
(D) Chips shall only be redeemed for cash, digital currency, or check dated the day of the redemption, except when the chips were obtained or used unlawfully.
(E) Any casino operator may demand the redemption of its chips from any person in possession of them.
(F) A casino operator's internal controls shall detail the procedure for the redemption or exchange of gaming chips from other casinos, including the logging of the foreign chip exchanges.
(G) Casino operators shall not allow patrons to wager, exchange, use, or redeem gaming chips issued by another casino unless the casino operator's internal controls detail a procedure for doing so.
