    FEDERAL MEDICAID NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAID

    Pursuant to section 5164.02, Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code and 42 C.F.R. 447.205, the director of the Department of Medicaid gives notice of the department's intent to consider the amendment of the rules as identified below and of a public hearing thereon.

     

    Rule 5160-27-02, entitled "Coverage and limitations of medicaid community mental health services" is being proposed for amendment to implement policy directives from the Department of Medicaid. This rule sets forth the Medicaid covered Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services administered mental health services and related limitations. The change to the rule is new language to clearly define those eligible for health home services and to implement a requirement that health home providers must disenroll clients within three business days of a request by the client or client's parent or guardian. The Department estimates no fiscal impact as a result of this amendment.

     

    Rule 5160-27-05, entitled "Reimbursement for community mental health medicaid services" is being proposed for amendment to implement policy directives from the Department of Medicaid. This rule sets forth the Medicaid reimbursement policies for Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services administered mental health services. The change to the rule is to describe and implement the reimbursement methodology for health home providers participating in phase two of the health home project. An appendix stating the health home reimbursement base rates is added. The Department  estimates  the  fiscal  impact  of  this  amendment  to  be  approximately

    $45,120,000.00 for SFY 2015.

A public hearing on the proposed rules will be held at the date, time, and location listed at the top of this notice. Either written or oral testimony will be taken at the public hearing. Additionally, written comments submitted or postmarked no later than the date of the public hearing will be treated as testimony.
